Myrna Laitinen

Residential Lifestyle Manager

Born and raised in Ucluelet, B.C., Myrna spent her young adulthood on commercial fishing boats before choosing a career more appropriate to her life’s calling. Originally hired as a cook for Hart House 26 years ago, she quickly learned she would serve better as a care aide and began apprenticing for the original owner of Hart House.

Myrna has an uncanny ability to speak candidly and from the heart. She loves sharing her passion for seniors care, and she pays attention to the tiniest details, making Hart House a home – and she still pops into the kitchen to cook when her services are needed!
